A FOND FAREWELL AND HUGE THANK YOU TO CLAIRE PRESTON

As Claire Preston steps down from her role as Head of Operations, we at Power of Women want to say the biggest thank you for everything she’s brought to the campaign since its very beginning in 2019. Claire has played a vital role in shaping PoW into what it is today. Her leadership, vision and passion have helped us reach thousands of young people across the Tees Valley.

Claire has been instrumental in growing our school’s programme, securing vital funding including the Safer Streets initiative, and delivering projects that have made a meaningful difference, from supporting local Mums to inspiring Year 9 students to aim high and break down barriers.

We’re incredibly proud to have worked alongside someone so committed to creating a future where equality is more than just a word, but a reality. Claire leaves us full of hope for the next generation and we know her belief in the power of communities, business and education will continue to influence the work she does next.

Although Claire is stepping away from her official role, she’ll always be part of the PoW family. Her legacy is felt across our programmes and partnerships and we’re excited to see all she continues to achieve through her own coaching and consultancy work, as well as her contributions to organisations such as Halo Project and NYBEP.

From everyone at Power of Women, thank you, Claire. You’ve helped us change the story for so many girls and young women in our region, and your impact will be felt for years to come.
