My Super POWer is bringing people, ideas and opportunities together, with a bit of marketing magic thrown in! I love finding the right story and making sure it reaches the right people, whether that’s a young person, a school, a business or someone who could become a brilliant POW supporter. My background in marketing helps me communicate what POW does in a way that connects with people, while my love of building relationships helps turn those connections into real opportunities for young people.
Fun Fact:
I’m the proud owner of two rescue dogs. Darcey travelled all the way from Romania to find her forever home with me so I’m definitely a soft touch when it comes to dogs!
What I love about POW:
I love that POW turns conversations about equality and opportunity into real experiences for young people. Whether it’s seeing a student meet a role model, watching a young person find their voice or seeing our ambassadors grow in confidence, the impact is incredibly rewarding. I also love the community around POW, the brilliant role models, businesses, schools and volunteers who give their time, energy and expertise to help create more opportunities for the next generation.
Power of Women is a community interest company dedicated to building confidence, creating opportunities and unlocking potential for young people across the Tees Valley.
Spearheaded by the Late Professor Jane Turner OBE DL, this campaign embodies Jane’s determination and commitment to improving life chances of girls in the Tees Valley region. We want to give girls and young women of the region the inspiration, tools and support that they need to take control over the direction of their own lives, and to not just survive, but thrive.
